Welcome to a World of Strawberries with Flavor

We have been collecting, growing and selling strawberry plants and seeds for well over 35 years. We want to share our experiences and hope to entice you to grow some of these legendary strawberries.

We have been growing alpine strawberries since the late 1980’s. During this time we have found many cultivars of these wild strawberries called fraises des bois and classified as Fragaria vesca. They include clumping types which are day neutral everbearing and types that produce runners and one large crop of fruit per year. These are often called woodland strawbrrries.

we also grow and sell Fragaria moschata which are called musk strawberries. We hope to save seeds in early 2025 of Fragaria viridis and Fragaria chiloensis.

A hybrid that we have grown since 2010 that we consider the best flavored hybrid strawberry is called Fairfax. It is classified as Fragaria x ananassa. We sold many hundreds of these that were rooted from runners. Around 2020 we stopped selling plants but are going to make an effort in 2025 to sell Fairfax plants. Much will depend on pest quarantines and regulations that can restrict shipping of live plants. Stay tuned for updates on this on the Fairfax page.
